Saigon to Bangkok 14 days
from £1295 excl. flights* This fantastic cultural journey begins in Saigon, with its evocative mix of ancient pagodas, ramshackle streets and modern skyscrapers. We have a walking tour of the city and also visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, before driving to the Mekong Delta, for a village homestay and a boat trip to the colourful floating markets of Phong Dien and Cai Rang. A morning's ferry ride then takes us from Vietnam into Cambodia, where our exploration includes the temples and palaces of downtown Phnom Penh, as well as the tragic Killing Fields. Continuing our journey by ferry to Siem Reap, we have 2 days to discover the magic of the iconic Angkor Wat temple complex. Then, after crossing the border into Thailand, we take a boat out to the island of Koh Chang for a relaxing 2-night stay at a beach hotel. A free evening in the bustling city of Bangkok brings this wide-ranging holiday to a suitably exotic conclusion. |
