You could join one of our Inspiring Landscapes tours to see for yourself the soaring peaks of the Himalaya, experience the vast emptiness of the Sahara, walk in the immense Amazon Rainforest or witness the spectacular, wind- and water-eroded landscapes of the western United States. Closer to home you could wonder at the soft contours of Tuscany’s rolling hills or the dramatic, lava-strewn volcanoes of Iceland. When you discover these landscapes with Explore you won’t just be having a look, taking a photo and moving on. You’ll appreciate them all the more by staying longer and interacting with nature, usually on foot: getting in amongst the mountains, the trees and the sand-dunes – and really soaking up the atmosphere of the place.

Iceland's volcanic landscape offers a dramatic mix of ice and fire: from snow-covered glaciers and thundering waterfalls to barren lava fields and steaming geysers. As we explore the island we admire its prolific birdlife and sample delicious fresh fish and seafood. We also find time to unwind in thermal waters of the Blue Lagoon and explore the bustling capital, Reykjavik.

This adventure allows us to explore the stunning natural beauty of Iceland's volcanic landscape with its snow-covered glaciers, steaming geysers and lava fields. We also have the opportunity to experience an earth quake simulator, learn survival skills in winter landscapes, enjoy a Viking heritage centre, walk on a glacier and watch wildlife and whales in their natural habitat. If we are lucky, we may even experience the natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights. Please note, some of the activities may not be able to be operated on the nominated days due to weather conditions. TRIPLE ROOMS This trip allows the option for triple rooms to be included within the booking on a selected number of night stops within the holiday.
