With over 200 holidays to choose from, KE Adventure Travel has one of the very best collections of trekking and walking holidays worldwide. Graded on a scale from 1 to 12, we have holidays to suit everyone. Our tougher treks are likely to involve multi-day hikes through wilderness regions, with porter support and tented accommodation. Whilst at the other end of the scale, our softer walking holidays are more likely to be hotel or lodge-based with a day-walk format and an emphasis on uncovering the area's history, culture and cuisine. From our earliest days we've developed a range of treks that include celebrated classics such as Peru's Inca Trail trek, the ascent of Tanzania's Kilimanjaro and the ever popular Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal. Alongside these, we have always made it a priority to seek out distinctive and unique itineraries in less familiar areas such as Armenia, Cameroon, Madagascar and Burma. Whichever of our trekking or walking holidays you choose to undertake, you can be sure you'll enjoy breaking out of your day-to-day routine and exploring exotic landscapes on foot, with the chance to experience different cultures.

Canadian Summits Scrambler

14 days       from  £2245 excl. flights*

Forming a natural boundary between the states of Alberta and British Columbia and rising to over 3500 metres, the snow-capped Canadian Rockies include some of the world's finest mountain scenery. To make the most of this dramatic region, we have devised a walking holiday that keeps to the high ground as much as possible. Traversing forested valleys to flower-filled alpine meadows and pretty glacial lakes, each of our day-walks will take us to a high ridge, pass or summit at the heart of the mountains. Seeking out the best walks and scrambles, our travels will take us to Lake Louise, Revelstoke, Glacier National Park, Golden, Yoho and Banff. En route, we will trek to the summit of several big and impressive mountains, including Mount Fairview (2744m), Cirque Peak (2993m), Mount Bourgeau (2931m) and Mount Allan (2820m). This action-packed walking holiday offers the very best of the Canadian Rockies.

Our Discovery collection draws together the best of our holidays that focus on the culture of a destination, as well as on visiting iconic sights and embracing local traditions. Some of these Discovery holidays will also have an element of activity, combining sightseeing with short walks, for example. Others might have a multi-activity holiday format, including biking and/or rafting, for instance, and these holidays are specifically designed for the adrenaline seeker! Also within our discovery collection are those of our holidays with a wildlife emphasis, photographic workshops, and polar cruise holidays. Never too physically demanding, these are predominantly touring holidays and their grade (usually towards the lower end of our 1 to 12 scale) reflects, in part, the remoteness of the area visited and the conditions likely to be encountered. Our Discovery holidays allow the discerning traveller to get right to the heart of many of the world's most stimulating destinations.

Snowshoeing in the Canadian Rockies & Yellowstone

13 days       from  £3245 excl. flights*

This snowshoeing holiday in the Canadian Rockies and Yellowstone National Park really is the ultimate in wilderness experience and wintery magic. In the Canadian Rockies we have snowshoeing days in the Banff and Lake Louise areas including Lake Agnes and Emerald Lake. We also hop up to Yoho National Park for a day snowshoeing amongst the majestic white clad mountains and pine trees dripping in snow. A couple of days in the lesser visited (but totally splendid) Kananaskis Park ends our time in Canada and we cross the border into the USA and onto the very special Yellowstone National Park. In winter this park the wildlife comes to life and the sight of bison covered in icicles from the cooled steam from the geysers (including Old Faithful) can be found no where on this earth. Whilst quietly snowshoeing through the park we are also likely to moose, elk and possibly even a wolf or two. Snowshoeing in this area is extremely special and it will be a holiday of a life-time. Please note that we are selling this trip in conjunction with our partners at Hauser (Germany's leading independent adventure travel operator) and Allibert (France's leading Trekking operator). As a result, these groups, which are led by an English-speaking Canadian guide, may have an interesting cosmopolitan mix.
