La Digue Island

La Digue is a small, laid back tropical island that offers a beautiful natural landscape and charming isolation. Cars are restricted on the island so the dusty roads can be explored on bicycle or by ox cart - the local taxi. As well as stunning beaches and a coral reef that's rife for underwater exploration, the island has a working coconut plantation and La Digue Vev Reserve, created as a safe haven for the rare and beautiful black paradise flycatcher.
