Son Doong Cave Trek (Extension)

There are few real adventures left in our rapidly shrinking world, but the cave systems of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park must surely rate amongst them. Only recently discovered and home to the largest cave ever surveyed, this remarkable landscape provides an insight into a world that until 2009 was truly 'lost'.This incredible journey takes you deep into the heart of a unique karst underworld, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will camp amongst towering stalagmites and impassable cliffs and experience one of the planet's last great adventures. The beginning of the journey sees you camping within the vast caverns of Hang En (Swallow Cave), where the waking dawn presents a world straight from the pages of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. You then follow the flowing course of the river through dense jungle to the entrance of Hang Son Doong, the largest known cave in the world, where you enter a land of giants, a world of 70 metre stalagmites, 100-foot trees and the immense structure of the 'Great Wall of Vietnam'.
