Thailand Family Adventure 12 days
from £899 excl. flights* Why do some families go all the way to Thailand just to lie on the beach? We don’t know either. Our family adventure mixes a whole lot of bona fide Thai experiences – everything from a longboat tour of Bangkok, a meeting with a hill tribe community, a cooking class in Chiang Mai and a somber visit to the infamous bridge over the River Kwai – with a little bit of sand and surf, too. Hey, even the Buddha reclined and relaxed once in a while, right? |

Family Holiday in Thailand - Tropical Adventures 11 days
from £895 excl. flights* This action packed family holiday to Thailand includes a range of experiences sure to captivate youngsters as well as older members of the family. After a day's sightseeing amongst the temples and waterways of Bangkok, we travel by sleeper train to Chiang Mai, the gateway to Thailand's northern hill-country. Located in the northern highlands, Chiang Mai is cooler and more tranquil than Bangkok and is home to around 300 temples. The city is the centre for trekking in a region which features pristine forested valleys and a number of extraordinary hill tribes, such as the Hmong people, whose subsistence agriculture-based way of life has changed little for centuries. In our 3 days here, we will explore local markets, take a Thai cooking class, ride on elephant-back and meet the colourful local people. We will also have time to take it easy by the hotel pool. Then, transferring to the remote and beautiful district of Nan, we will trek on forest trails and spend 2 nights in village houses as guests of the local Thai people. During our day at the village, we will be able to learn a lot about the way of life of the traditional Thai farmers. At the end of the holiday, 3 nights at a beach hotel on the quintessential tropical island of Ko Samet, with access to optional activities such as sea kayaking, snorkelling etc, provides a suitably relaxing conclusion to an exciting family adventure amongst the stunning scenery and fascinating culture of Thailand. |
