On this epic three-week journey around the Baltic Sea we'll experience nine different countries, as we travel from Helsinki down through the Baltics to coastal Poland, Kaliningrad and Germany then back into Scandinavia and finish up in Stockholm. We'll see many highlights along the way from fairy tale old towns to scenic islands and from Soviet war relics to alternative hippy communities. We'll get to appreciate first-hand how the scenery, culture and cuisine changes and see areas that few tourists normally visit, as we work our way around this fascinating coastal region.

Explore the historical highlights of Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania on this three week holiday. We travel mostly between the cities by train, passing through glorious countryside, before immersing ourselves in Medieval buildings, historical squares, chic pavement cafes and micro-breweries. We also discover the impressive UNESCO listed Wieliczka Salt Mines and Nesvizh and Mir Castles, have the opportunity to visit Auschwitz and see the many monasteries and catacombs at Lavra and old Soviet sculptures at Grutas Park. In the health resort of Druskininkai we'll have the opportunity to relax and go on lakeside walks, hire a bike or soak in one of 20 different bath houses.

On this two week trip we travel from Krakow in Poland to Vilnius in Lithuania using mostly trains between the cities, passing through glorious countryside, before immersing ourselves in Medieval buildings, historical squares, chic pavement cafes and micro-breweries. Along the way we will stroll through the Tunnel of Love, have the chance to see an abandoned replica of the Nazis' Plaszow Labour Camp and make chocolates. We'll also visit the many monasteries and catacombs at Lavra, the UNESCO listed Nesvizh and Mir Castles and Grutas Park, where a collection of old Soviet sculptures are on display. Towards the end of our holiday we will stay in the lovely health resort of Druskininkai and have the opportunity to relax, go on lakeside walks, hire a bike or soak in one of 20 different bath houses.

On this walking trip we visit the three Baltic States: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. We discover their cultural heritage and explore some of their many national parks. We walk through forests, along sand dunes, and learn to 'bog walk', whilst also learning about the different ecosystems. We also visit the capitals of each country - all containing 'old towns' that are UNESCO Heritage Sites, and walk around Lithuania's beautiful 15th century Trakai Castle.

Baltic Capital Cities

This trip is the perfect introduction for first time visitors to the Baltic states. We explore the three capital cities on foot, as well as visiting the KGB Museum in Vilnius, Europe's largest market in Riga and going underground in the tunnels beneath Medieval Tallinn. We stay overnight and enjoy a traditional beer tasting and dinner in the historic Pakruojis Manor, founded in 1531. As well as visiting Trakai Castle, Kaunas, the Hill of Crosses and Parnu on the Baltic Sea.
