Spend some time in one of the country's most captivating cities before heading south where you can enjoy nature at its finest when you encounter its intricate and beautiful system of 4000 islands and islets, not to mention a visit to the pre-Angkorian ancient temple complex at Wat Phou. Crossing into Cambodia, you will then head for the spectacular treasures of the Angkor kings and the lost cities that lie amongst the jungles of Siem Reap. Here you will have a chance to explore the iconic settings of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, gaze upon the stunning bas-reliefs of the Bayon and immerse yourself in the temples and towers of one of the world's most bewitching archaeological sites.

Along the way you'll explore World Heritage Sites and indigenous villages, cruise through the timeless waters of the Mekong River and discover the rich jungles of the Xe Pian National Park.Beginning in Champasak you'll visit the UNESCO ruins of Wat Phou, before boarding a private boat to explore the spectacular riverine islands of the Si Pan Don Archipelago. Travelling on to the remote Xe Pian National Park, you'll then take an elephant safari through one of Laos' most picturesque wilderness areas, before trekking through the forested valleys around Thakek.After exploring the spectacular limestone caverns of Kong Lor Cave by boat, your journey then takes you across the haunting plateaus around Phonsavan, where you'll discover the extraordinary Plain of Jars before ending this adventure amongst the colonial grace and captivating charms of sleepy Luang Prabang.
