With over 200 holidays to choose from, KE Adventure Travel has one of the very best collections of trekking and walking holidays worldwide. Graded on a scale from 1 to 12, we have holidays to suit everyone. Our tougher treks are likely to involve multi-day hikes through wilderness regions, with porter support and tented accommodation. Whilst at the other end of the scale, our softer walking holidays are more likely to be hotel or lodge-based with a day-walk format and an emphasis on uncovering the area's history, culture and cuisine. From our earliest days we've developed a range of treks that include celebrated classics such as Peru's Inca Trail trek, the ascent of Tanzania's Kilimanjaro and the ever popular Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal. Alongside these, we have always made it a priority to seek out distinctive and unique itineraries in less familiar areas such as Armenia, Cameroon, Madagascar and Burma. Whichever of our trekking or walking holidays you choose to undertake, you can be sure you'll enjoy breaking out of your day-to-day routine and exploring exotic landscapes on foot, with the chance to experience different cultures.

Pyrenees Snowshoe High Level

8 days       from  £845 excl. flights*

Starting out with 2 days of introductory snowshoe hiking from our base just outside Luchon, we then drive up to the head of the Benasque Valley on the Spanish side of the range. Here, from the Nordic ski centre of Llanos del Hospital, we begin a 3-day expedition that will take us into one of the most impressive snow-filled cirques in the Pyrenees. With 2 nights at the Refugio La Renclusa (2140m), we are in a great position to extend our exploration to the 3000 metre summits of Diente de Alba and Mulleres, where we have fantastic views of the nearby Pico Aneto (3404m), the highest Pyrenean peak. This part of the holiday will include a couple of long and testing days, each with around 1000 metres of ascent. Returning to Luchon and the comfort and fine food of our rustic lodge, a free day allows us the opportunity to take it easy or to try another optional winter activity - such as skiing at nearby Superbagneres.

Walk to Freedom across the Pyrenees

7 days       from  £895 excl. flights*

The ‘Chemin de la Liberte' was the toughest of several escape routes set up across the Pyrenees during the Second World War. Running from Saint-Girons in the Ariege district of France to the village of Isil in Spain, the trail has been an official way-marked walk since 1994 and can be completed as an excellent and quite challenging 4-day hike. After a first night in Saint-Girons, we trek on forest trails into the foothills of the Pyrenees and climb to cross the high mountains of the Ariege via the Refuge des Estagnous (2245m) and the Frontier Col (2522m). En route, we encounter rocky cirques, mountain lakes, boulder-fields and possibly snow-filled gullies, whilst marvelling at some of the finest mountain views in the Pyrenees. Finally, we drive back across the border into France and end our adventure with a free day in the charming town of Luchon.
