Thaba-Putsoa Mountains

The Thaba-Putsoa mountain range in central Lesotho is an excellent trekking location, with stunning mountain scenery amidst remote Basotho villages and their friendly, hospitable people. From a base at Malealea Lodge, there are numerous circuits in this region, varying in length and difficulty, with a highlight being a trek to Ribaneng and its waterfall.

Lesotho Drakensburg Mountains

The Drakensburg Mountains are a spectacular mountain range encompassing eastern Lesotho and across the border in South Africa. Within Lesotho lies the highest mountain in Africa south of Kilimanjaro - Thabana Ntlenyana at 3,482 metres. The summit can be reached with a strenuous and challenging day long trek. For an easier option, the beautiful Hodgson’s Peak lies at 3,257 metres.
