Spanning six time zones and covering almost 8,000 kilometres of track, it‘s the ultimate rail adventure, travelling from Beijing, across the steppes of Mongolia and through the wilderness of Siberia to the monumental Russian capital, Moscow. Our journey begins with a hotel stay in Beijing, exploring the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China, before heading northwards into Mongolia, where we transfer to the Tsar‘s Gold Train and visit the Buddhist temples of Ulaanbaatar and the Mongolian Alps. Crossing into Russia we join the main Trans-Siberian railway route, and make our way through the vast expanse of birch forests, grasslands and starkly beautiful landscapes of Siberia. We‘ll stop at spectacular Lake Baikal and explore the fascinating cities of Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Kazan, take a stroll through Moscow‘s Red Square and Kremlin and learn more about Russian history and culture along the way.
