Our Discovery collection draws together the best of our holidays that focus on the culture of a destination, as well as on visiting iconic sights and embracing local traditions. Some of these Discovery holidays will also have an element of activity, combining sightseeing with short walks, for example. Others might have a multi-activity holiday format, including biking and/or rafting, for instance, and these holidays are specifically designed for the adrenaline seeker! Also within our discovery collection are those of our holidays with a wildlife emphasis, photographic workshops, and polar cruise holidays. Never too physically demanding, these are predominantly touring holidays and their grade (usually towards the lower end of our 1 to 12 scale) reflects, in part, the remoteness of the area visited and the conditions likely to be encountered. From the Pacific to the Caribbean

This unique adventure and multi-activity holiday takes us on a whirlwind Central American discovery tour, from Nicaragua, through El Salvador, to finally end up on the Caribbean coast of Honduras. We fit a lot into this amazing holiday, including; sightseeing, exploring, easy jungle hiking, a canopy-level tour, volcano-boarding, surfing and turtle and dolphin watching, as well as chilling out in peaceful cafes in brightly painted colonial towns. Starting in Nicaragua we stay in the beautiful colonial town of Granada before enjoying Lake Nicaragua with Monkey island, and the waterfalls & volcanoes of Ometepe island. A stop in Leon allows us to walk up the volcano of Cerro Negro and then ash board down! We arrive into El Salvador on a boat and then have a couple of nights at El Cuco with its white sandy beaches, where we have the opportunity to surf, and visit a turtle project. Travelling inland we visit coffee plantations and the interesting town of La Palma. Once in Honduras our first stop is the famous Mayan ruins of Copan and then we transfer to the Caribbean for three days with activities including kayaking through the mangroves.
