This remote self drive adventure combines some lesser visited areas of Namibia and Botswana and is ideal for those looking for an off beat experience that offers fascinating culture, big game, superb birdlife and world class fishing. Beginning in Windhoek you'll cross the border into Botswana and spend time in the remote Central Kalahari, where you will join Neeltje Bower on a rare odyssey of discovery. Neetje's special relationship with the San allows us a real insight into their ancient traditions and nomadic lifestyle, with bush walks, ceremonial dances and a host of 'real-life' activities. Travelling north into the Okavango Panhandle, you'll then enjoy some of the finest fishing and birding opportunities imaginable amongst the serene landscapes of the Okavango Delta. The area also provides a gateway into the rock art of the Tsodilo Hills and the rich wetlands of the Caprivi Strip, where you will have a chance to soak up the traditions of life along the Okavango River, before driving onto the stark salt pans of Etosha National Park, one of the highlights of the journey. Here you will experience three nights in a charming tree top camp and some of Namibia's finest game-viewing.
