Cycling Tours of Rajasthan

Whether you’re a keen cyclist or enjoy the occasional bike ride at the weekend, or even if you’ve been inspired by the London Olympics and just want to give it a go, we have plenty of cycling adventures to choose from. We cycle mainly on backroads and rural tracks, using mountain bikes or ‘hybrid’ bikes that are ideal for the terrain. These are supplied by us and included in the price: you don’t need to bring your own bike or pay extra to hire one locally. We research our cycling tours with real care, combining the best routes with all the destination has to offer. You’ll enjoy not just the challenges along the way and the sense of achievement at the end of each day, but also the joy of exploring on two wheels: watching the landscapes unfold ahead of you, meeting the local people and experiencing everyday life well beyond the reach of conventional tourism.

Cover more miles and explore more of the world's extraordinary landscapes and cultures on one of our Road Cycling or Mountain Biking holidays. Whether you fancy a Himalayan mountain bike challenge or an Alpine road riding blast in preparation for your next sportive, you will find what you are looking for amongst our global selection of biking adventures. With a track record that stretches back almost 30 years, KE Adventure Travel has more accumulated experience of adventure cycling holidays than any other tour operator. Our range of popular biking adventures now includes holidays as different as Jordan's Dead 2 Red ride, Lake Titicaca to Machu Picchu in Peru, the Rajasthan Road Cycling Tour in India and the classic trans-Alp Geneva to Nice road biking adventure. Our biking holidays are separated into 3 types (Fat Tyre, Semi-Slick and Road Cycling) on the basis of the terrain involved and the type of bike and tyres required. Additionally, each of our holidays is graded on a scale of 1 to 12, with 12 being the most challenging. Please refer to our grading system, which identifies each holiday's level of difficulty and enables you to compare the difficulty of two or more cycling holidays of the same type.

Cycling Tour of Rajasthan - India

12 days       from  £1395 excl. flights*

Our new bike traverse of Rajasthan is a medley of sights and senses as we ride on backroads from Udaipur to the Taj Mahal in just over one week. From Delhi, we fly down to Udaipur, the City of Lakes, where we begin with a tour of its fabulous landmarks. From here, we set off riding through the rolling Aravali Hills to Kumbhalgarh and the atmospheric lakeside town of Pushkar. Passing farmers working in the fields and the locals travelling to market by foot and oxcart, we get a true feel for the lifestyle here. Throughout we have the luxury of constant back up from a support vehicle with a mechanic. Arriving at the ‘Pink City' of Jaipur, we have a rest day to visit the famous landmarks including the fabulous Palace of the Winds and the imposing Amber Fort. Continuing our traverse of these majestic lands, we journey to the Sariska National Park where we can have another afternoon off the bikes, as we set off on a game drive in search of the elusive tiger. Our final day of riding brings us into Agra where we visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, before transferring back to Delhi. If you are looking for a fun and at times quite frenetic biking adventure that's jam-packed with Indian culture and history, then this is the perfect holiday for you.
