 Highlights of Hungary 9 days

In Budapest we'll see the emotive monument of the 'Shoes on the Danube'. We'll stay in the charming town of Eger, which was recently on the Telegraph's list of 'European cities you never thought to visit - but probably should' and relax on the shores of Lake Balaton. We also visit the Soviet labour camp of Recsk Gulag and have the chance to taste Bull's Blood Wine. Budapest to Prague Adventure 7 days
from £665 excl. flights*   On this holiday we discover the historic European capital cities of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague and travel between them by a combination of rail and road. We'll see the Jewish Cemetery and enjoy a wine tasting whilst in Mikulov and have the option to take a boat trip along the Vltava River in Prague. Whilst staying in Bratislava we take a local train to Vienna for the day and you can either return the same way or there'll be the chance for you to take a cruise back along the Danube River. We'll take a break from exploring the charming towns and cities with a scenic walk around the UNESCO listed castle grounds of Chateau Lednice, which is known as 'the garden of Europe'. |
