Chamonix Family Alpine Adventure

France's Chamonix Valley, with its spectacular backdrop of Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain, is the perfect setting for a family adventure holiday. Based at our comfortable chalet base in the village of Argentiere, this superb activity holiday will ensure that your family gets the most out of their week in the Alps. This holiday is designed to involve the whole family, with a fun packed itinerary and the option to finish off the evening with a soak in the hot tub! Adapting the itinerary as necessary, the local guide will escort you on the activities and choose scenic day hikes along famous Alpine trails - either in France or in nearby Switzerland. Activities include introductory canyoning, whitewater rafting or ‘hydrospeed' on the River Arve, as well as the exciting high ropes course at the Chamonix Adventure Park. You will also be able to ride Europe's highest cable-car to the breathtaking viewpoint of the Aiguille du Midi and stay overnight in a mountain hut. Additional activities available locally include swimming, ice-skating, biking and the summer 'luge'. This is an action-packed week of fun and adventure at the heart of the French Alps.

Family Tour du Mont Blanc

The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the world's classic walks, and mindful of the adventurous families out there who want to enjoy some of the world's best walks together we have created this itinerary especially for them! Meeting in Chamonix, the Alpine mountaineering capital, we begin our journey through 3 countries, France, Italy and Switzerland to complete the best parts of the Mont Blanc circuit. After a day's introductory walk up to lovely Lac Blanc, we return to our very comfortable chalet-style accommodation for a second night. We spend the next 5 days trekking our mini-tour, starting the walk from the door of our chalet. Our route includes several famous pass crossings including the Col de Balme, Col du Forclaz and the Grand Col Ferret (2537m). Along the way we'll see alpine cows, mountain farms, some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe and spend a night at the Bonatti Hut (2056m), newly erected in memory of the Italian mountaineer and photographer Walter Bonatti. All other accommodation will be in simple but comfortable hotels and there's no need to carry heavy bags as our baggage will be transported from hotel to hotel. An excellent introduction to multi-day walking!

Aside from the incredible mountain and lake views, there are so many things in Tignes to keep everyone in the family busy. With included walking, rafting and adventure rope park activities in our week's adventure, combined with some free time to either relax or swim in the chalets pool, we have designed the trip with children (and adults!) in mind. We stay at the Chalet Hotel Rosset in the heart of Tignes-le-Lac which offers a great combination of comfortable accommodation, spacious public areas and scenic views across the lake. We also offer a 'lite' version of this trip which includes your accommodation, 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 5 dinners, the service of a local representative and transfers, with the option of including flights from the UK. All activities on the 'lite' version are bookable and payable locally, allowing you to pick and choose how active you want to be each day. TRIPLE ROOMS This trip allows the option for triple rooms to be included within the booking on a selected number of night stops within the holiday.
