Botswana Green Season Special
9 days from £2262 excl. flights*
Fantastic value for money, we've thrown two different parts of the delta into this combination, adding the fantastic game viewing of the Khwai area at Machaba to the beautiful delta scenery of Pom Pom Camp. We've topped it all off with two nights in the Central Kalahari at Wilderness Safaris' Kalahari Plains Camp. It is most commonly held that the best time to visit Botswana is between July and October, however the green season (December through March) should not be overlooked. You might get some rain but photographically and aesthetically, the colours of the Delta are richer during the rains with the lush green growth and dramatic and stormy skies in the background. In addition many grazing animals have their young at this time to take advantage of the abundance of grass and this means more predator activity. Last but certainly not least, during the Green Season you can save up to 40% and take advantage of far fewer visitors.
|Highlights|| - Enjoy the spectacular Okavango Delta scenery from two delta camps|
- Small luxury camps - all with swimming pools ideal for relaxing in the heat of the day
- Discover the central Kalahari Game Reserve - prime game-viewing from November to March
- Witness the Zebra migration in the Kalahari from November to December
Tour includes: 8 nights in characterful stylish camps - 8 breakfasts, 8 lunches and 8 dinners - Local Drinks at all camps - All transfers including 4 light aircraft transfers - Conservation and park fees - Shared safari activities with experienced naturalist guides as specified above (Please note some activities are subject to water levels)

7 days from £1783 excl. flights*
This unusual week long adventure offers a stunning mix of wildlife encounters and fascinating cultural interaction, as you journey from the salts pans of Makgadigadi to the arid landscapes of the Kalahari. So much more than just a wildlife experience, this fantastic private journey also offers an opportunity to spend time with the San Bushmen, one of the oldest cultures on earth. When the water recedes for the Okavango Delta in late October much of the wildlife head south in search of fresh grass, making it a great time to visit the southern parks of the Central Kalahari, Makgadigadi and Nxai Pan. Less visited than their northern neighbours, they are no less spectacular and, between November and March, they are home to the second largest migration of Zebra in Southern Africa.Staying in a mix of tented camps and lodges, this remarkable journey also takes you into the heart of the Central Kalahari, where you will join Neeltje Bower on a rare odyssey of discovery.
