Wildlife attractions in Malawi

Zomba Plateau

The Zomba Plateau rises to 2000m above sea level and is an area covered with cedar forests and numerous waterfalls, lakes and streams. It has a unique high tropical microclimate with a large diversity of bird and animal life. Views from the edge of the plateau over the African plains below are stunning, especially at Emperor's View and Queen's View (named after Emperor Haile Selassie and Queen Elizabeth after their visits to the area).

Liwonde National Park

Liwonde National Park is a small park to the south of Lake Malawi and one of the most popular safari destinations in Malawi, containing species such as elephant, sable antelope, bushbuck and warthog.
